ITINERARY DETAILS:
DAY 01: IQUITOS – NAUTA – PIRANHA LODGE
8:00 a.m.. Pick up from hotel. Transfer to the city of Nauta, in a private car. Short city tour walking through the streets of the city of Nauta. Navigation on the river Marañon, to "Piranha Ecoexplorer Refuge. Typical welcome drink. Assigning "Private cabin. Programming tour. Take a canoe ride through a pond. Typical lunch. Hike through jungle knowing flora and fauna of the area. Return to the Refuge. Dinner. Evening canoe ride where observe Caymans and other nocturnal species. Night at Piranha.
DAY 02: BIRTHPLACE OF THE AMAZON - OBS. DOLPHIN
Morning hike through the jungle to see monkeys in the wild. Breakfast. Boat excursion to the union of the Marañon and Ucayali, who form the Amazon. Dolphin Watching Grey and Pink River at the mouth of the Rio Yarapa sewage. Amazon Tax. Lunch on board. Visit coastal Caserio "Castilla", way of life, handicrafts Exchange. Watching the sunset from the Amazon jungle. Return to the Refuge. Dinner time indicated by the guide. Night walk for some kinds of insects, frogs and other nocturnal species. Night at the Refuge.
DAY 03: RECREATIONAL FISHING - CAMPING NIGHT
Breakfast, Recreational fishing for piranhas and other species in the lagoon. Return to the Refuge. Lunch. Then walk into the forest to spend the night in tents or mosquito nets on the banks of the stream or pond, only spending the night feeling inside the jungle. Night fishing with coastal style arrows. Night walk, as shown in the guide. Dinner. Night in the forest interior.
DAY 04: SURVIVAL TIPS IN THE JUNGLE - RETURN
Breakfast. Basic explanation about survival in the jungle, using the resources of the jungle. Medicinal plants, preparation and uses. Return to the lodge, lunch. Rafting in the lake. Dinner. Night at the Refuge.
DAY 05: LAGUNA TOUR ROUND
Breakfast. Walk round the lagoon to visit and observe different species of animals, jungle high. Return to the Refuge. Lunch. Check back in the boat to Nauta then take the car that we moved to the city of Iquitos.
